OUR MISSION

The heart of what we are about is to ‘make disciples.’  This is what Jesus told His followers to do in Matthew 28:19.

WHAT IS A DISCIPLE

At Calvary we see these characteristics as defining of a disciple of Jesus Christ:

•Trusting Jesus Christ for salvation (Romans 10:9)
•Growing in love for God (Matthew 22:37-38)
•Growing in submission to Jesus’ Lordship (Matthew 28:20)
•Growing in service to others (Ephesians 2:10)
All to the glory of God.  (1 Corinthians 10:31)

WHAT THIS MEANS

What this means is that we don’t have ministries just for the sake of having ministries.  We have specific ministries for a specific purpose in mind: to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Our prayer is that God would use this church family so that individuals would be actively trusting Jesus Christ for salvation.  As individuals are actively trusting Jesus Christ for salvation we desire that individuals would be growing in their love for God, submission to Jesus’ Lordship and service to others all so that God’s glory might be put on greater display.
